Web TV platforms are for example Netflix, Rakuten TV, Amazon Prime Video, Eurosport Player and all those traditional TV network platforms such as Mediaset Play.

The streaming services that can be used by IPTV lists (m3u or other format) instead contain thousands of TV channels and content on demand.
Illegal IPTV

IPTV channel list

IPTV technology was born as a legal service, arriving in Italy introduced by Fastweb in 2001 with the Video station set-top-box. This service offered a subscription to a selection of TV channels with thousands of content on demand (via optical fiber).

The service was then proposed by Telecom Italia in 2005: the telephony company launched its paid offer with Alice Home TV.

To date, however, IPTVs are generally associated with illegal activities. This happens to the practice of publishing and trading IPTV lists that broadcast copyrighted content at bargain prices.

The services in question cost between € 10 and € 15 per month and allow access to IPTV channels illegally (we repeat) such as Sky, Mediaset and DAZN. Some of these illegal IPTV services are free, but are continually modified and often closed. We do not mention their names because, as they are illegal, we have no interest in advertising them.

The dissemination of these IPTV lists is prohibited by law, and you risk up to 4 years in prison with a fine of up to 15 thousand euros. Those who use them feed illegality, and risk up to 3 years in prison and a fine of up to 25 thousand euros.

HOW TO SEE IPTV FOR FREE?

The best free IPTV legal services available in Italy (also visible in EU countries) are the following:

Top Dog IPTV (https://iptvsubscription.site/top-dog-iptv/) – OTT platform which contains a large catalog of shows, live broadcasts of public channels and programs already broadcast in the last 7 days.

Hulu Play  (https://www.hulu.com) – Hulu platform (see here for more info on Hulu Play)

Sky TV- https://www.sky.com/– website with live streaming and a selection of programs from the last week

Free IPTVs are visible from many devices, including Smart TVs, set-top-boxes, interactive decoders, smartphones, tablets (with the appropriate apps, PC and Mac). We repeat that, in this case, we are talking about totally legal services which are obviously supported by the presence of advertising within the programs.

IPTV APP

Once you understand what IPTV is and how it works, let’s introduce you to some of the most popular IPTV apps, namely SS IPTV and Smart IPTV.

SS IPTV is a Smart TV application that can play video streaming on a local network (or through the internet). To date it is only available for LG and Samsung TVs, and is very popular. The SS IPTV does not provide access to IPTV services or lists, but only allows access to the content that is provided by IPTV operators.

Smart IPTV can also be used on Samsung and LG smart TVs, but also on Android and Amazon Fire TV devices. This application allows the import, processing and management of lists of channels distributed via the Internet. In this way it facilitates its vision and organization. With Smart IPTV you can then switch from one channel to another with your smartphone or with the smart TV remote control. The app is perfectly legal.

At this point it is quite clear how IPTV works: all you need to know is that with its diffusion the market for IPTV decoders has also exploded. What are? In practice, they are real decoders that allow you to transform a common television into a powerful smart TV in all respects, taking advantage of the numerous possibilities offered.
